Primary & Secondary Sources in the Humanities: A Sequenced Tutorial
This five-lesson micro-course will teach you about primary and secondary sources in the Humanities. Throughout these lessons, you’ll have opportunities to check your understanding about the concepts discussed; these questions are all for practice and are ungraded.
Once you’ve completed each lesson in the micro-course, you will earn the Primary Sources in the Humanities credential, which you can share with your professors.
The lessons in this micro-course address:
- What primary and secondary sources in the Humanities are;
- How you can get started in your efforts to find primary sources;
- How you can use web portals and search engines (like Google) to search for archival materials;
- How you can explore digital archives; and
- How you can use the Libraries' Library OneSearch tool to find primary sources.
