Academic Integrity in Research & Writing: A Self-Enrollable Micro-Course

Please note: This micro-course and its credential replace the Libraries' Using and Citing Sources micro-course.

The purpose of this micro-course is to give you a more in-depth understanding of:

  • academic integrity and plagiarism
  • how and when to use sources
  • how to quote, paraphrase, and cite

You can also use this micro-course to learn more about citation styles, or how to give credit to existing ideas in your work in your academic discipline.

This micro-course takes about 45-60 minutes to complete. At the end, you can complete a quiz -- if you earn at least an 80%, you will receive a credential of course completion, which is a digital badge.

You can also earn credentials when you complete the learning content on academic integrity, each of the citation styles, and different community expectations around giving credit.

The available credentials, or badges, for this micro-course are dated -- they can only be earned during the 2021-2022 academic year.
