An item Kresge Library owns, but isn't available.

  • If you look up a resource and it says “Not Available” on the results page and says “On Loan” on the individual record, then the item is currently checked out to another patron.

  • You can place a hold by logging into your library account, looking up the item, clicking on the record, and under “Get It” click on Request. You will be notified when the item is available for you to pick up at the Service Desk in the library.

An item Kresge Library doesn't own, but you still want to try and get it.

  • If you search for an item and do not find a record through Library OneSearch that means we do not own a copy. However you can request this item via Interlibrary Loan to see if we can get this item from another library. You can request books from MelCat. For books not found in MelCat and for other items (ex. journal articles, et.c) you can request them from ILLiad.

For more information about these services check out the MelCat FAQ and ILLiad FAQ pages.
