How can I access your archives / special collections remotely?

Answer

Oakland University Libraries provides access to digitized and born-digital collections for teaching, learning, research, and public enjoyment. Digitization allows our historical materials to reach a broader audience and enables our users to engage with cultural heritage in new and interesting ways. These digital collections are a living database, and new digitized materials will be added regularly.

Many of our collections related to the university's history have been digitized and are available online. Historical documents can be found in OUR@Oakland. Historical photographs can be found in the Oakland University Libraries Digital Collections.

If you cannot find what you are looking for in our digital collections, you can search our print collections using the finding aids or Library OneSearch. You can also directly contact the University Archives to ask a question or make an appointment
